" Something old, something new . . . "

This slim brooch combines traditional materials such as sterling silver, 18K white gold,  blue sapphires and diamonds with space age Niobium combined with the more  mundane Aluminium. My friend and collaborator Paul Smits did the research on this technique. The Niobium is coloured by electricity to a blue colour by anodizing, to match the Sapphires... ©  Neil Aird
